Winner in the “Themes on a Great Idea” tri-state art competition with an artistic interpretation of Margret Mead’s quote, “If we are to achieve a richer culture, rich in contrasting values, we must recognize the whole gamut of human potentialities.” My art was displayed in the Art Institute of Chicago for the month of November 1992. I received a personal commendation from the first woman mayor of Chicago, Jane Byrne. I also received commendations from the House of Representatives & Congress.
